Principles 2.4

"Design a plan."

A goal is useless without a plan.

We often become excited about a goal and drive into action. But action without planning is like setting off on a road trip without a map. It's full speed ahead to the back roads of nowhere.

A great action plan accounts for where you are, how you got there, and where you want to go.

It identifies the specific tasks needed to accomplish your goal.

There will multiple paths forward, and many will be traversable. You don't need to spend months devising the perfect route. You just need to create a system that works.

The system you develop is your GPS. It gives direction to the excitement and turns hard work into results.
